The Story Report V3 #16

Today is ANZAC Day, in Australia and New Zealand, and also a number of Pacific Island countries like the Cook Islands which has links to New Zealand. ANZAC Day is the same as Memorial Day in the States and is our day for remembering and honouring those who have gone to all wars on behalf of our respective countries.

The word ANZAC is an acronym for Australian and New Zealand Army Core. It dates back to World War 1, when on April 25th 1915, the ANZACs landed on the beach at Gallipoli in Turkey and most were killed.

How foolish wars are. All of them based on ego-centric power-struggles. Who can be the biggest, the fastest, the strongest, the most revered. When in reality, we are all one.

Hopefully, as we move into our exciting New World Age over the next few years all that will be a thing of the past.

About 20 years ago, Dr Keith Suter, an Australian academic wrote a book calling for the Department of Defence and the Ministry of War to be renamed the Ministry/Department of Peace. I believe that similar proposals have been made in the States.

That way the focus would be on promoting Peace instead of having a focus on War and Defence. By changing our language and our focus we can change our lives and also our world.

Amazing Pictures from Eyjafjallajökull – Mercury in Action

You’ll recall that the Feature Article last week was about Mercury going retrograde. And as Mercury rules communication and transport the warning was, amongst other things, to avoid air travel or at least double-check your schedule.

Even though there was a passing mention of the volcano in the article, at the time I sent out The Story Report no one had any idea of the extent of the travel disruptions that the volcano would cause.

So if in the past you have discounted the influence that the ‘stars’/planets might have, maybe it might be time to have another think : - ) .

Or is the volcano, at this specific time of Mercury Retrograde, just another “coincidence”?

Recently NASA set up a new Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) and it has now started to beam back stunning new images of the sun, revealing our own star – the sun - as never seen before.

Great News, Dr Carl Johan Calleman will be my first guest when the teleseminars return in May. I’m just waiting for him to confirm a date.

This is not the original person I had invited, who shall remain nameless. I still haven’t heard from him. A lot of these 2012 researchers are very poor communicators. But that certainly cannot be said for Dr Calleman.

Not only is Dr Calleman one of the leaders in the study of the Mayan forecasts, and one of the world's highest profile 2012 researchers. He is also the most efficient person, when it comes to communication.

Next week I should be able to give you more details about the call and also about Dr Calleman and his work.

If you heard the talk that Robert Martin gave on my teleseminar in February, you might recall that he said that the Mayan 6th night, which we are now almost half way through, is a time when secret unethical and illegal actions would be exposed.

It's true, that exposures have been happening in a lot of ways to varying degrees for some years now. Just one example is the Roman Catholic church pedophilia cover-ups.

However, it is in this very time period of the Mayan 6th night that we heard that one of the Bishops who were part of the cover up is now the Pope.

But one of the biggest scandals to hit our Australian headlines occurred last Thursday afternoon. And being the major sporting nation that we are, the scandal was sports related.

Now whether you're a sports fan or not, the lesson is still a major one for this time of the Mayan 6th night.

In Australia we have two major codes of football – and that’s football with an oval ball, not soccer with a round ball. Originally the states of Queensland and New South Wales played Rugby League. And basically the rest of the country followed Australian Rules football. About 20 years ago, Australian Rules went national. And about 13 years ago Rugby League invaded Melbourne, which is the birthplace and home of Australian Rules.

So with only one Rugby League team in Melbourne – the Melbourne Storm – it was essential that they do well to try and attract some of the die-hard fans away from Aussie Rules.

To even-up the play, all the teams have a salary cap. So they are not allowed to spend any more than $4.1 million per year (this year) on players' salaries. This way a team with a big financial backing can’t buy all of the top players and so win all the games just because they have a lot of money.

Well for the past 5 years the Melbourne Storm executives have been getting all the top players by officially paying them within the salary cap, but secretly keeping a second set of accounting books so they can secretly pay the top players the extra money to keep them playing for the club. And that extra money is well outside of the salary cap.

During the 5 years that they were fraudulently keeping the two sets of books they won 2 grand finals – called premierships - and were runners-up (minor premierships) three times.

Here we are in the middle of the 6th night when secret unethical and illegal dealings will be exposed. And now, after 5 years the story comes out at this very time.

Apart from the public humiliation, the Storm’s official penalty has been extremely severe – and rightly so.

In addition, their three major sponsors have now dumped them and there is a criminal investigation over the fraudulent activity of the two sets of books, and it looks like the architects of the scheme will go to jail.

All because the ego-centric club executives wanted to be the biggest, the best, the strongest, the most powerful, the most revered... Just like those who start and engage in wars.

The most important thing to come out of all of this is something I might have already mentioned in past ezines. But it's always worth repeating over, and over, and over again.

It’s the very first thing that I always taught all of my MBA students about ethics.

Sometimes, in the short-term, it can be tough acting ethically and there don’t seem to be any benefits at all. But when you act ethically, you’ll always win out in the long-term.

However, there are normally always benefits in acting UNethically in the short-term. But I can guarantee that in the long-term, unethical actions are never sustainable. Eventually, you'll always have to pay the piper, in some form.

What’s worse is that normally the unethical/illegal actions will result in terrible consequences for innocent people, as in the case of ENRON.

And also in this Melbourne Storm case. The major innocent victims here are the fans, and the innocent players. I don’t think that all of the players are innocent, but that is still under investigation.

PS I don't like Rugby League at all, and that has nothing to do with the Melbourne Storm.

This preparation has been in the form of miraculous and not so pleasant life experiences; a range of specialized work skills; and an incredibly extensive, and diverse, range of personal, professional, and academic training.

Last year the Universe led me to a totally unexpected situation where I now find myself researching, in depth, all I can on the stories about 2012, and the beginning of our new world era.

This research has rapidly moved me from an open-minded skeptic to a firm believer in a change greater than any of us can possibly imagine.
